Guess Who’s Coming to the Dance Floor? – DWTS Season 19 Cast Announced

If you’re surfing TV channels on September 15, and you stumble upon ABC around 8 PM, you’ll hear the following:

Live from Hollywood, it’s Dancing with the Stars!

Yes, you heard that right. Dancing with the Stars is coming back for it’s 19th season, with lots of new things to heat up the ballroom. First, former DWTS pro and champion Julianne Hough will be returning to the show, but as a judge. That ought to add a little excitement to the panel.

Second, we have three new professionals making their way to the dance floor. This years new professionals are former So You Think You Can Dance contestant Allison Holker, returning dancer from season 18′s troupe Artem Chigvintsev, and South African and Latin American ballroom champion Keoikantse Motsepe.

Just like the last few seasons, the cast was introduced on ABC’s Good Morning America on September 4th. This season’s couples are listed below:

Randy Couture and Karina Smirnoff

Michael Waltrip and Emma Slater

Janel Parrish and Val Chmerkovskiy

Sadie Robertson and Mark Ballas

Antonio Sabato, Jr. and Cheryl Burke

Alfonso Ribeiro and Witney Carson

Tommy Chong and Peta Murgatroyd

Jonathan Bennett and Allison Holker

Lea Thompson and Artem Chigvintsev

Tavis Smiley and Sharna Burgess

Lolo Jones and Keo Motsepe

Bethany Mota and Derek Hough

Betsey Johnson and Tony Dovolani

With every season, there’s an eclectic group of competitors, and this one is no different. Everyone can be anyone; they could be a fashion designer, a YouTube Star, a comedy legend, and even an Olympic athlete. Everyone has their strengths and weaknesses, and this season is sure to be an exciting one. The contestant I’m most excited for is Alfonso Ribeiro, aka “Carlton” from the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. Who could forget his famous “Carlton Dance,” or his routine with Will to “Apache” by The Sugarhill Gang? Who knows, maybe he’ll bust a couple of his famous moves this season.

Leave a comment below telling us which contestants you’re excited to see, and don’t forget to tune in on September 15 on ABC to see it all go down.
