Can you feel that? That jolt of optimism and energy bursting through your veins at this very moment? No, it’s not because you’re psyched to read this article. It’s because it’s officially spring on your calendars and the warm weather is beginning to creep up on us. Spring is the appetizer to the main course, which is the summer. It lets you know that life is about to get better. For men, it’s a fresher start than a shower after a one-night stand with a solid 3. Yes gentlemen, you’ve all slept with a 3 or worse. Own it, we’ve all been there at least once. Moving on, here are the five reasons that men love spring.
1. The Sports Calendar:
This is the best time of year in the world of sports. Why? Because there is something to watch basically every single night. You have baseball season getting underway to go along with the NHL and NBA playoffs. Let’s also not forget about The Masters. Yes, the Kentucky Derby is also involved here, but we’ll get to that one in a bit. Spring is the wet dream of the sports calendar for every man who’s paying attention.
One reason men love spring is because it is the official start to cleavage season. Women’s skirts get shorter, their tops get lower and the cleavage begins to catch a man’s eye more and more. Best of all, when the weather starts touching 60 degrees consistently, women will try and tan anywhere. And I mean literally anywhere. By early May, everywhere you go is a smorgasbord of eye candy.
If you ask any man what he thinks of a sundress all he will say is, “I love them”. That’s because we really do love women in sundresses. The way a sundress wraps around a woman’s lower half makes a man’s libido rage like a forest fire. It’s sexy, it’s classy, and it’s the male fan favorite of the spring.
4. Outdoor Brunch:
The season for outdoor brunch is finally upon us. There’s no secret as to why men love outdoor brunch. Let’s break this one down. First, ladies love brunch. It’s a proven fact. Much like Darwin’s theory of evolution. What do women love more than regular brunch? The answer to that is outdoor brunch. It’s sunny, it’s warm, and inhibitions are tossed to the wind by two in the afternoon on a Saturday. Any other questions about this one?
There are two key spring holidays that happen between Saint Patty’s Day and Memorial Day. Those holidays would be the Kentucky Derby and Cinco de Mayo. Yes the Kentucky Derby is technically a sporting event; however, if you don’t consider it a holiday then you’re living life completely wrong. If you can actually make the trip and party on the lawn, it’s complete debauchery. If you can’t make the trip, you should be at a bar and dressed up celebrating like you’re there. As far as Cinco de Mayo goes, it speaks for itself. Mainly because the spring weather is in top form, tequila is mandatory, and clothing is optional.
